Prices
Prices are quoted in Australian dollars including Australian GST where applicable.
All bookings made via our computer reservation systems, are based on the current prices at the time of booking. However should availability change prior to your booking being finalised, surcharges may apply. Third party suppliers such as airlines, accommodation partners and tour operators may change prices at anytime. Therefore, prices are subject to change without notice and prices are not guaranteed until paid in full and documents have been issued.
We reserve the right to correct any errors in prices quoted or miscalculated for any product or service.
In addition to the total price of your travel package, service fees and credit card merchant fees may also apply. Please consult our schedule of fees.
Prices Do Not Include
Items of a personal nature (such as telephone calls, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, etc.), transport, meals unless indicated, passport and visa costs, courier delivery costs.
Payments
Newport Travel’s minimum deposit amount is $110.00 per person per booking. This deposit is non-refundable and is in addition to any deposit required by our travel suppliers.
Full payment for most airfares and packages booked within 6 weeks of travel is due at the same time as making the booking.
Newport Travel will advise you at the time of booking when the final payments for your travel arrangements are due – depending upon supplier contractual arrangements.
Where a Newport Travel service fee is charged, this fee is also non-refundable.
Credit Card Payments
Wherever Newport Travel acts as the merchant for payment of your travel arrangements (i.e. not the airlines or other travel suppliers), Newport Travel reserves the right to charge administration/service fees for payments made by credit card. These charges are 1.85% for Visa and Mastercard or 3.3 % for American Express and Diners Club. These charges will appear in the costings section of your quote or on your invoice. Credit Card payments may be taken up to 48 hours after a booking is made online. In some instances you may be required to provide credit card verification in writing before a payment can be processed.
Amendments and Cancellation Fees
We reserve the right to charge a minimum amendment fee of AUD$60 per person on International departures for each change to a confirmation of booking, this is in addition to any fees charged by the travel provider.
The minimum charge for Domestic booking amendment is $40 in addition to any fees charged by the travel provider. For changes with low-cost carriers such as Virgin Blue or Jetstar, clients must contact the airlines directly.
We also reserve the right to charge a minimum cancellation fee of AUD $110 per person or 10% of the total booking amount, whichever is greater, which will be in addition to any charges made by the travel provider. In some cases this can be the loss of the full amount you have paid. For this reason we highly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.
Refunds of monies can take a minimum 8-12 weeks to obtain from the travel provider.
Please note that many travel providers treat passenger name changes and itinerary alterations as a FULL CANCELLATION and as such these changes can incur full cancellation charges.
All travel providers charge amendment and cancellation fees. Newport Travel will not take responsibility for clients who do not take out comprehensive Travel Insurance cover for all bookings.
Bookings Made with a "Low Cost Air Carrier"
If you have booked with any of these airlines and you wish to amend or cancel your booking, you MUST contact the airline directly on the number provided on your e-ticket.
These airlines usually keep their costs low by not including extra services like meals, entertainment etc; however in many cases these can be purchased onboard your flight.
Newport Travel recommends that you contact your Low Cost Carrier directly at least 72 hours prior to departure of each flight to reconfirm.
Low Cost Carriers reserve the right to charge Credit Card merchant fees additionally to the airfare and taxes displayed. Credit Card merchant fees applied by the airline directly will be charged additionally to your credit card upon confirmation of your booking.
Bookings made on Low Cost Carriers in some instances do not include a check-in baggage allowance. Check-in baggage allowances included in the fare purchased will be listed on your booking confirmation from the airline. Please contact the airline directly if you need to increase your check-in baggage limit. Baggage fees may be charged by the airline or at the airport for any additional requirements and are non-refundable once purchased.
Payments processed in foreign currency (currency other than the original card holders country of issue), may incur a currency conversion fee. Please refer to your financial institution for applicable fees.
Prices quoted to you are in Australian dollars (AUD) based on the current daily rate of exchange. Final payments and statements may differ from the amount shown due to currency conversion fluctuations.
